407 days to go

407

June 26th – 1 year 1 month and 12 days from today

8.24am My cutie still sleeps. He didn’t let me sleep last night. He was restless and crying. Many times. My head hurts today and it’s going to be a very long day.
I couldn’t hide from the headmistress too well and she finally caught me: “You didn’t tell me if your kids will be here next year” Shit… Oh man… I can’t lie but I couldn’t tell her that they are not going to be there… I don’t have the house. I may have to change my plans again.
Please God don’t let that happen! “Sorry, I can’t answer you right now”.

My daughter’s teacher had this brilliant idea. I’ll paste the e-mail I got from her:

Dearest Parents,

Can you believe there are only 2 weeks left of school!

Because next week will be very hectic with lots of end of the year
fun, I thought we might get a jump on the summer by celebrating all
the birthdays from all the students who are having their birthdays in
the summer (ie your children :)) this upcoming Thursday June 26th.

If you are all interested I suggest we coordinate and plan for each
person to bring something different (so we don’t end up with 4 cakes)
:). It is customary that the students also bring a small treat to
take around to teachers on this day while they go around and collect
birthday wishes from each teacher.

Let me know what you all think. Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kindly,
Miss N

And this was my reply. I didn’t write anything about what I thought about what was customary here because I’m sure it would have gone to the spam folder… But I did tell to her face what I thought when I saw her… It was something like “Screw the teachers, I don’t care about them… Sorry, I like you, you can eat a piece of cake”. And I said that smiling so she thought I was joking… I wasn’t. For me, to think about the cake this week is too much. To add 12 extra treats for the teachers…. Come on! You have to be kidding me.

Hola Miss N!
Honestly, I was glad Eilena’s birthday was during the holidays so I didn’t have to do all that… Then again, my birthday is during the holidays too (in my country at least), and I always hated it because nobody was there to celebrate with me…
So, let’s put my egoism aside and tell me what to bring and at what time.

So yesterday I ended up baking a chocolate cake for today’s party. I didn’t realize that I can’t transport the decorated cake to school on my bike. So I’ll have to decorate it there, that means that I’ll have to be at school at least one hour earlier to finish it… That is, I need to be there at 12.00pm (I should leave around 11.30am)… Then I have to stay there until 5.00pm because my third son goes on a school trip today.

I’m hating today… And it should go this way instead.

I’m smiling now. I hope it lasts for some time. Yesterday’s post made me a bit sad. My friends responses to it make me sad too. Please don’t worry, I’m fine. And I’ll be great.

While the cake was in the oven, I decided to make a vision board (yes, I chose to do that instead of putting away the laundry or cleaning the house). I’m grateful I can choose, it wasn’t always like that. It’s great not getting the: “The whole afternoon you did that instead of ironing my shirts??? I asked you weeks ago”… Now I would say: “You know where the iron is” (and think but not say “you also know where you could stick it”…).
I decided to make the board because I still didn’t get any answer from the owner of the house and I’m running out of time (and patience). I just interrupted my writing and wrote an e-mail to the agency. My stomach hurts now.

“Law of Attraction”… The idea is to put on the board everything you want to happen, and it will. I didn’t have magazines so I wrote a lot of things and made a lot of little signs with the things I want. I draw the house and I wrote the address close to it. In the end it looked a bit empty.
Later at night I realized that I had forgotten a lot of things, so I made a list on the back of an envelope, the only paper I found near, I didn’t want to leave the bed. So hopefully, my board will be very full and crowded with positive thoughts.
I want the house, my book published, serenity, peace, wisdom, magic, happiness, health and LOVE. And I’m going to get that and much more. Because I DESERVE IT.

Today’s summer picture won’t be a drink, a recipe or a beach.
It’ll be the pond of the house I want. That’s the garden of my future house (I’m sorry you can’t see the lotus flowers on that picture, but I promise to take one and post it as soon as I am there).

    • Thank you!! (It’ll be mine soon!! πŸ™‚ I’m smiling.
I love your sunflower. I was posting a spring related picture every day during the spring and on my last (spring) post I posted a sunflower and after that I looked for the meaning. What I can say is GREAT CHOICE!
(Sunflowers represent adoration because they turn their heads to the sun.
In Greek mythology Clytie, a water nymph, turned into a sunflower after grieving the loss of her love Apollo and was always facing the sun looking for his chariot to return.
For the Chinese, a sunflower means a long life, good luck and it’s considered very auspicious. The color yellow symbolizes vitality, intelligence and happiness.
Esoterically, it’s the symbol of God’s love. It represents the faith that guides the soul to the highest spiritual harmony).

  2. That’s actually a photo I took πŸ™‚ I have grown sunflowers for years, and cannot wait until I have a place to do so again. It will be featured on my new (and 3rd) blog I’m opening in July, for photography only, joining my Poetry and regular blog. I hope you’ll find things there that you like as well!

I adore flowers, and sunflowers always, always make me smile.
