Yesterday I didn’t have the will or energy to do much at home. After spending the entire morning at school and cleaning a little bit, I d ecided to relax. My kids left with their father and I thought it was too cold to sit in the garden and enjoy the view, so I decided to catch up with all the posts I couldn’t read the past days and prepare today’s post, because I knew it was going to take a while to write. And it did!

As I mentioned the other day, I’ve been nominated for two blog awards: The Versatile Blogger Award and One Lovely Blog Award. I’m truly honored.

In order to accept this nominations, I have to follow these rules.

1. Thank the person who nominated you.

2. Nominate 15 bloggers for the award and let them know.

3. Share 7 facts about yourself.

1. Thank you very much Paul ( http://alfredsalmanac.com ) for nominating my blog for both awards.

2. These are the 15 bloggers I nominate. I chose to nominate you for your honesty, sense of humor, because you care, but most of all, because in a way or another, I identify with the way you are, or at least, what you show through your writing.

3) I LOVE writing this blog. And I’m amazed that some of you still read it.
4) Apart from finding Prince Charming and marrying him, one of my biggest dreams is becoming a grandmother.
5) I can touch my nose with my tongue (no, I’m not posting a picture of it, just take my word for it).
6) If my body would move at the speed of my thoughts, I’d be a Squirrel.
7) My favorite color is blue and my favorite number is 17 (I couldn’t think of another more interesting fact).

  1. Thank you for the award nomination my friend, much appreciated:) may I get to them before Christmas:) haha, you know me:) peace and love:)

  2. Congratulations! I love your blog because you keep it real….life isn’t perfect- you share the ups and downs in a way that has me laughingπŸ˜„ thank you for the nominations!

  3. Congratulations! You deserve an award, ANY award, for having one of the most enjoyable blogs I follow! You are one of the sweetest, down to earth people, and I wish we were neighbors so I could help you with your pond and then enjoy something sweet–yes, I’m a sugar lover, too! I LOVED all the fun facts about you. But I picture you being the Road-Runner instead of a squirrel. I truly believe you don’t get much sleep! Enjoy your rein of royalty, bask in the limelight!! ; * (haha, I think that’s a kiss!)

    • Thank you Mandy, you’ll make me cry!
Really a Road-Runner? I’ll let myself be caught by any Coyote anytime!! πŸ˜€
And I appreciate you willing to help. I’ll keep extra ice-cream in the freezer just in case you show up πŸ™‚
A selfie of myself with a tiara is coming soon!! πŸ™‚

  4. I appreciate very much reading about your innovative and hard work to start anew. The nebulous nexus of school bussification in your life will surely pass after a few Fred Flintstone counselings with the school administration. I think you have more than earned these fine awards and the recognition from the WP community. I thank you very much for your recognition and nomination although my wee dragon to your squirrel is no literary match for what you achieve here. Keep smiling with us as we follow along πŸ™‚

  5. Hello My Crazy Tiara Wearing Twin P,
A squirrel really? We ate squirrels in Texas. Don’t mind Willy, he’s always looking to see how many bigs words he can get in a sentence. He loves to drive the ladies crazy, yet pleads no contest. He’s my best bud other than you so he knows I say with love. I will work on award even if I cheat the rules just a wee bit. You better be sleeping right now. Thanks for the nomination. I didn’t know you actually read my blog, I thought you just like talking with me. Who knew?
    Crazy No Tiara Twin M

    • Hi Crazy No Tiara Twin M,
Please cheat. To nominate 15 persons takes a long time. I didn’t give an explanation why I nominated each, just a short paragraph to include all.
Willy is a sweet guy, (hard shell, soft content… like an egg πŸ˜€ ).
And of course I read your blog, that’s why I’m telling you to rest more and write less πŸ™‚ Go with the pictures and a short story, something that makes you feel happy :).

      • Crazier Twin P,
We could learn to ride Harley’s and take off to Daytona, Fl in May. I’ve been once, a blast. You would meet so many men there, maybe not one you want to take home. You would enjoy plenty quality time on the beach, I’ll put a microchip on you so you’re not lost. I’ll ride all the beautiful beaches. You can get your jiggly on!
        Crazy No Tiara Twin M,

      • Crazy Twin M,
Yes, you’ll definitely need to put a microchip on me… And I’m not a motorcycle kind of girl… but I DO like men… πŸ™‚
        I love the idea!!

  6. With a ’little’ delay (I finally found a time to make a page for rewards) – thank you very much for the nomination. Your blog is beautiful and you deserve all those rewards. I am very honoured that you think that my blog is worthy of them and that is my dearest reward of all. Also, I was recently nominated for a β€˜Very Inspiring Blogger Award!’ and I would like to nominate you for that reward, because your posts are very inspiring, indeed. I admire your strength and energy and cheer for you from the bottom of my heart to find your prince charming. Unfortunately, they tend to turn into the frogs. πŸ˜‰ Hope you’ll have better luck with yours, when you find him. πŸ™‚

    • Thank you Katarina! x3 πŸ™‚
And congratulations! (don’t worry about the delay, some things are better when they age πŸ™‚ )
You know that I’ll break the rules a bit (or a lot!!). But I really appreciate you nominating me :).
I love your blog too (and I’m really behind reading this week but I’ll catch up soon :)).
      Have a lovely evening!
