I’m not inspired today. It’s almost 1pm. (past 3.00pm now). Last night my Internet connexion stopped working. That’s very bad. I didn’t know what to do. It gets very boring without it. And I don’t own an electric toothbrush.
I guess I was lucky that the previous night I hadn’t slept enough, so I turned off the light and tried to sleep. I woke several times to see if the Internet was working. Nothing.
This morning, we unplugged the modem for a while. Now it works. The idea of a weekend without Internet was terrifying. I know the man can fix some things at the distance. He offered last time to get into my computer from his house and install the Flash Player that for some reason I can’t get to work (since August). The idea of him going again through my stuff, gave me goosebumps. (Yes, I have things to hide). Help anyone?
My kids are here for one more day. That means nothing gets done. Only ten times more work. They were playing very nice in the kitchen so I took the laptop and came to the living room to write on the couch. Twenty seconds later, all of them came and sat around me…
That’s nice. Then they all had something to tell or ask. Not so nice. It’s always the same. They wait until I’m on the phone, in the bathroom, writing or cooking to need something. And we just finished brunch… And they are asking already what are we going to eat. It never ends.
I could finally take a picture of the spiderweb in the morning. With the dew drops.
I stayed there for a while watching. The spider builds her own house. Pretty much what I’m doing. The spider spends most of the time alone. Pretty much what I’m doing. The spider takes care of her little babies. Pretty much what I’m doing. And the spider sits there waiting for the next victim to fall on her net… Pretty much what I’m doing. OMG, I’m a spider!!!
My girl is asking me what happens when someone dies. That’s a very hard question. It doesn’t give an answer that leaves a child satisfied. It only gives a dozen more questions. Questions that I will have to answer. Help anyone?
Lifting my heavy ass now to bake scones… So then my ass will be heavier and I could spend more time sitting and writing.
I remember well the days of kids being underfoot–then one day, poof, they won’t give you the time of day-they have their own lives 🙂
I LOVE spider webs, too! That’s an awesome photo!
I only had one answer about death for kids. “A piece of your spirit goes out to every person you ever loved and that ever loved you.” I know, too simple. But that’s what I believe.
p.s. I have a “happy” light Paola! Artificial sunlight that sits on my desk. It’s small so it doesn’t burn my eyeballs out, lol! Let the sun shine in! ❤

I will use that one, thank you Mandy!!
I like spiders very much too… Let’s say they are my pets… I only vacuum the abandoned webs, I really don’t mind them in the house. I try sometimes to catch them and let them out, but they come back 🙂
True, kids grow so fast!!
And I may get a happy light too… For now, I’m concentrating in making everything colorful 🙂

Hmmmm…Spider Woman meets Spider Man. They buy an electric toothbrush business. Their lives are buzzing. I see good things in your future 🙂

He may not be wearing his Spider outfit so it may be hard to tell, but he may have a little bit of webbing stuck to his clothes. That is how you can tell 🙂
