Friday! Yes!! Just as I was leaving to bring my kids to school, the headmistress from the kindergarten called me to ask to leave Cutie at home because part of the staff was sick. So here I am with my two youngest kids at home. (Not cycling only for one kid). It’ll be a long day.
Thanksgiving dinner was successful. The turkey legs were not dry and the special pasta was delicious (it took me more than 15 minutes to prepare and it involved more than one chopped onion and no tomato sauce jar. So I can call that cooking). The cheesecake had only a bit of paper in the middle and I could remove it without destroying it. I added some chocolate on top just in case someone wanted to comment about the strange look. I’m so proud of myself.

The man offered to help me assemble the closet. I politely declined. He said: “Come on! Let me help you. Then when we get tired we can lay on your bed” “Thank you, but I pass”. I rather have the parts staying on the hall till next year.
Maybe you are wondering why the man was here for dinner. He had to go to the school for the parents/teacher meeting and since I wasn’t planning on going, I said to him that he could stay and have dinner with us and then go alone to the meeting. It’s not that I don’t care. I don’t have anyone to stay with my kids and the last time, the stupid meeting was over 3 hours long. I excused myself after 2 hours (9.30pm) because my kids were home alone. I thought they were sleeping but no, they were all on my bed (air bed at the time) watching videos on YouTube.

A couples of days ago, Jennifer from http://songtothesirens.com wrote a very nice post about her wishes for Christmas. You can read it HERE. I left these comments:

A promise is a debt. Here is my letter to Santa. I’ll take a picture of the moment when I put it in the mailbox.

After the horrible week I had, believe it or not, IT’S FRIDAY, I’M IN LOVE!!
Because my heart can be broken once and then again (and again), but if I stop fighting, it’ll never heal and I may never get what I so much want (and I think I deserve since I had freckles only on my cheeks). And because it’s 2.00am (when I wrote most of this post) and I’m completely INSPIRED by you dear readers, who keep inspiring me day after day, I want to share this song I love since 1985. Ladies and Gentlemen, Chicago!

You’re The Inspiration
(written by Peter Cetera and David Foster)

You know our love was meant to be
The kind of love to lasts forever

And I want you here with me
From tonight, until the end of time

You should know, everywhere I go
Your always on my mind, in my heart, in my soul

Baby, you’re the meaning in my life
You’re the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You’re the inspiration

Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin’
No one needs you more than I need you

And I know, yes, I know that it’s plain to see
We’re so in love when we’re together

Now I know that I need you here with me
From tonight, until the end of time

You should know, everywhere I go
Your always on my mind, in my heart, in my soul

You’re the meaning in my life
You’re the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You’re the inspiration

Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin’
“No one needs you more than I need you”

Oh, ooh

Wanna have you near me
I wanna have you hear me sayin’
No one needs you more than I need you

You’re the meaning in my life
You’re the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You’re the inspiration

When you love somebody
Till the end of time
When you love somebody
Always on my mind

No one needs you more than I
When you love somebody
Till the end of time
When you love somebody
Always on my mind

If you wonder… That wasn’t the first time I asked for a boyfriend… The other story coming soon.

I love the song and so happy dinner turned out so well. I’m proud of you for turning the man down, you’ll get it put together when you do. Maybe call the previous handyman and pay for his services alone. You can help with parts and spend more time together.
Feeling bad so have to run.

  9. Your cheesecake looks awesome! My pie was pretty in pictures but unfortunately not cooked in the middle (I ate it anyway). Hell yes Peter Cetera! I wore out my Chicago’s Greatest Hits c.d. in highschool :).

Some of Chicago’s songs are INCREDIBLE! (at least for dreamy/romantic people!) 🙂
