Saturday. Happy Valentine’s Day. I know many of you don’t believe in this day and think is’t too commercialized or don’t agree with the fact that people show love only one day of the year instead of every day. But think also that there are some who don’t even make an effort this one single day. And trust me, I’m always SO lucky to meet them!!
Love is not measure by the amount or quality of gifts. A gesture, a few words, a smile, an ‘I thought about you’, it’s enough. If that thought is chocolate, even better, but anything can do.

I made plans with my mom to go to OsnabrΓΌck. That’s a city one hour away by train. And maybe the only time that my mom will see more that seven persons at once.
The idea is to leave early (my early, that is before 11am) so I won’t have much time to write.

So I’ll be celebrating Valentine’s day with one of the persons who loves me the most in this world. I guess I’m pretty lucky.

Did you know that Ancient Greek distinguished four different ways of love? I didn’t know it until a couple of days ago. I wonder if it’s still that way nowadays.

Those ways are:
“erao” to be in love with, to desire passionately or sexually.
“phileo” have affection for.
“agapao” have regard for, be contented with.
“stergo” used especially of the love of parents and children or a ruler and his subjects.

Stergo for me this year… Hopefully next year (or next week) erao. Phileo is very nice too. But agapao really made me frown. It sounds like settling for something that’s not the best. Unacceptable.

Today I’m celebrating my one year non-stop, not one day missed, of blogging. I know that for some reason there is one day missing in March and that is because I posted something on my sticky post (the one I change very often), instead of adding a new post.
It’s been maybe the most inconstant and challenging year of my life and I’m glad I was inspired to do one of the things I enjoy the most, and that is writing.

Here it goes something I wrote last year. My idea was to come up with 10 things that meant LOVE to me but I got stuck with 9 things for days.

Love is.

-a box of chocolates (minus the ones with creepy filling)
-the smile of your child when you enter the room
-a message found in the morning saying β€œI thought about you”
-someone letting you sleep till you are tired of it
-a just because gift
-an unexpected hug
-finding your favorite meal waiting for you
-being there without being asked
-what you feel after getting a goodnight kiss

I couldn’t find the original 10th so I’ll replace it by:
