Saturday. Plans for the day: Going to the biggest shopping mall in Europe. Another shopping day for me. I’m overdosing. Getting there will take almost 4 hours. I’m glad we are going by train. I’m sad that in the train there is not wifi.
I already took a notebook and a pen and I will attempt to write a song. My biggest problem is that when I write in verse form, I only like it when it rhymes. Let’s see if I can break the rules.
Yesterday we went to eat to one of the local restaurants. I think there are three but I’m not sure. I had a great time. We drank sweet white wine, I was smiling after the second sip but it wasn’t enough to dance on the table.
My parents ate spareribs.
I ate fries with Gilde sauce (mayonnaise, peanut sauce (satΓ¨) and onions). That’s what the Dutch call: Pataat Oorlog (Potatoes War). I guess the name comes from the smell left in your mouth after eating them. Very oniony.
Onions are good for so many things…
And they are great in long distance relationships.

Wow, 4 hours for a shopping mall! That’s hardcore shopping! Hope you enjoy and good luck with that song. I can’t think of a song that doesn’t rhyme but if you manage to pull it off, let me know.

Stupid rhyming ruling my mind! π
And it takes so long to go to the mall because I’m far away from everything! π

Oh, I see…more of a country girl then? Yes, for me it’s all about location. That’s kind of what it’s like growing up in NY. Of course, there is always a price to pay…crowding, higher rents…

Oh, that’s too bad. My husband is always complaining because we know we can get a much bigger and cheaper place to live if we moved more to the outskirts of L.A. or even to another state but I just say ‘no way!’

I cook with onions all the time but didn’t know some of the secrets you reveal. Apparently, onions keep one healthy, virile, and alone. I’m sure the potato war is announced with great trumpeting from one’s kazoo. I can’t shake the image of two lovers locked in an embrace when suddenly the potato war is announced. We are also heavy garlic abusers so I’ll double my onions for good health and trumpet away. It might keep the mosquito population down.

I love garlic too! π
The secret is that both persons in the relationship eat the same.
I love abusing garlic in my single days π

Abusing garlic is sinless and fun π We should do it more often. I think I will write a short story titled, 50 shades of Garlic. π

I hope so!! π
I could try faxing a few slices, but I don’t own a fax π
The recipe is my own and it’s very simple. You prepare pizza/bread dough and lay it on a form with a bit of oil. You can choose how you like it (thin or spongy :D).
Then you need about 6 or 7 cloves for each pizza. You have to pass the garlic through the garlic presser (?) and then mix that with some olive oil (about 1/4 cup), salt, pepper, oregano and crushed chillies. You add that on top of the dough and bake it until done. If you like parmesan cheese, you can grate a bit on top too π

It’s in Oberhausen π
You must like onions and satΓ© saus (because I’m sure you like mayonnaise :))

Oberhausen … isn’t that where WB Movieworld is, too? I can deal with the sauce and the onions. Why doesn’t McDonalds sell that stuff?

Yes, WB is a few km before the shopping mall.
I believe McDonald’s is stuck with the secret sauce π
