Mug shot Tuesday. Yesterday’s appointment went well. I can stay here because “alles ist in Ordnung” (everything is OK). What a relief!
I thought after receiving such a news, I was going to sleep like a rock. But that didn’t happen.
Something is still bothering me and I can’t get that off my mind.
That’s why I chose that mug today.
Dear Prince:
I’m writing you this letter because who knows, there could be a chance that you are reading this blog. And if so, I want to ask you please not to get discouraged about the things you read.
In this past year, I wrote honestly and mostly everything about me. I’m sure you already know how much I hate washing dishes (and how far I can go to avoid washing a spoon. Loading and unloading the dishwasher are also in the Top 10 of hideous things to do). You probably know how much I hate folding and putting away the laundry (that’s why it could stay on the couch or bed for days) and how much I despise shopping, specially for clothes.
When I get home, only some days I hang the jacket in it’s place, mostly I let it on a chair in the kitchen. My shoes are always somewhere… I wish I knew where they are when I need them.
I don’t really mind about clearing the table after eating, I do it when I feel like doing it, if not now, later. I don’t stress about so little.
If I use something, like a tool, the chance is very big that I won’t return it to its place. And I tend to leave all the cabinets and closets’ doors open.
In short, I’m a mess.
I can cook but I don’t do it so often because I don’t enjoy it much these days. Maybe one day, I’ll like it again.
I’m sure you already know I have five kids. Four boys (14, 10, 7 and 2) and one girl (5). I have little or not existent authority over them. They pretty much do whatever they please and rarely listen to me. But they love me and want to see me happy. As amazing as it may sound, things are working quite fine here and I’m really surprised about it.
Maybe you also read that I sent a letter to Santa asking for a boyfriend (but didn’t get it) and that I was willing to kiss a frog just to see if that was really you.
You probably also read that I live in this house for a little over than half a year and that I worked my ass off to make it as nice as possible.
But something is missing… You!
You have to know that I really need you. There are a couple of things that I hate doing by myself, like pumping my bike’s tires or changing light bulbs.
But what I hate the most is that I’m not getting my goodnight kiss, and because of that, I’m sleeping terribly.
So here is my question: Did you finally find my shoe? If so, when are you going to bring it to me? I’m getting older and the tissues are starting to hang.
You better hurry or you could be disappointed.
I promise you that if you come to me, I’ll love you every second of my life and our life together will be perrrrfect.
I will also cheer for you (I have pompons).
Looking forward to the day we meet,
Paola
PS: Just in case you need to know, my ring size is EUR 53/US 6.5.
I love you.

What self respecting Prince Charming could resist such a letter? Don;t worry P. When your Prince comes that will make you a Princess and so you won’t have to do laundry, dishes, cooking, mowing, shopping, door closing or anything else you don’t want to do.
