Thursday. Leaving in minutes. Things are more or less like this. I’m lost, or better said, I lost my head. When the man came yesterday to pick my kids, it was freaking cold. We were saying goodbye outside and I said: “Hold on, I put on a jacket”. While I had the jacket on, I thought: “I better take the phone (from the pocket) and charge it so I have it full for the trip”. But, I didn’t find the phone in my pocket. I froze. I asked my son to call me. Of course it didn’t ring anywhere, I already knew exactly where I had left it. In my driving instructor’s car, 3 days ago!!
When I say I really don’t care about my phone, you have to believe me… But if the missing item would have been my iPod… No, no. Not happening. No chance that device leaves my hand.
So I won’t have a phone until next week when I’m back from Spain. Don’t try to call me!
I couldn’t order a bus. Or a taxi. I couldn’t communicate so well with the woman who picked the phone at the bus/taxi company , so I’ll walk to the station. I hope it doesn’t rain… And if it does, it’s only water.
It’s raining now.

I close by accident my browser and I lost all the tabs I had open. I’m not happy about that. I was trying to catch up reading blogs. That will have to wait.

I’ll be praying for free WiFi on the train. Or those will be very long hours. I have a few e-books and all my German audio lessons. I could do that… a productive day at last!

While I was thinking about my lost head, my grandma came to my mind. She would have said to me (and be completely right): “Cabeza de Novia” (Bride’s/Girlfriend’s Head). In Spanish, the word Novia means both, bride and girlfriend. And we say that to girls in my country when they are distracted. And I’m smiling really wide. I love my Cabeza de Novia!!

Bueli (that’s how I call my grandma), I love you! And I’m sure you’d love to see my face right now. Hopefully soon.

  5. I hate when that happens. That’s one of the things I like about Google Chrome, you can restore tabs and even text in fields when you close it by accident.

    • I use Opera. I LOVE that browser. But for some reason I couldn’t restore all the tabs because it seems that the last tab I opened, I did it on a separate window, so that’s what I got! πŸ™‚

  6. Cabeza de Novia…what a great expression. Sometimes English doesn’t do it!
