Saturday. I feel very sleepy today. I could have stayed until noon in bed but my kids had other plans.
Yesterday’s visit was very nice. I really enjoyed seeing my friend. She was still in shock that I left the man but she said I looked like a young girl, much better and happier. And that I don’t longer have sad eyes.

I’m really behind reading, I’ll catch up this week when my kids are at school. I have so much to do. I stress with the thought of it.

I finally downloaded the pictures but now I’m not sure I remember what everything is.
I took those photos on Tuesday. I didn’t stop to take them, I just shot them as I walked. I love doing that.
I had a map of the city and a few places I wanted to see before meeting my cousin. I got lost (of course) because some streets didn’t have the name and my gut told me to go on the opposite way, so at one point, I asked for directions.
Two nice girls told me where to go and said: “Go to the Estació de França, it’s very nice”. That’s a railway station in Barcelona, and since it was on my way, I did it.

The entrance hall

The ceiling, I love the huge hanging ball. I’m not sure if that’s a lamp or what, I just liked it.

The platforms.

What I really wanted to see was the “Parc de la Ciutadella” (a park). I’m not sure if I ever told you this, but for me, the nicest things to see are the parks. I rather go to a park than to a museum. If I had more time, I would have loved to have a picnic there. Amazing place.

The park has a lake with boats, but I actually took that picture because I loved the clouds.

I have no idea how those things are called but I always liked them.

I love that construction, you could see it from the park. It belongs to the zoology museum.

Some monument

The fountain… Incredible

The mammoth statue. No idea why it was there. Maybe it belongs to the zoology museum.

A church. It was closed.

A couple of blocks away, there is the Arc de Triomf of Barcelona. I really wanted to see that too.

And just before I met my cousin, I saw the Sagrada Familia from the distance. I’ll go inside on my next trip (with My Prince, I already decided that).

So glad your back safely. The rail station and fountain were awesome. If you have good cathedral shots email them to me so I can play with them in my photo software. Can’t wait for an email on the status of you and the prince.

      • I know!! My kids start asking for underwear and socks after one week… that sucks! 😀

      • Show them were the sick and soap is, they can hang in shower to dry. Next trip to dad he needs to take the kids on a stock up trip with enough socks and underwear for a month. That would sure help.

      • Yes! But then I’ll wait a month to wash and the piles will be way higher!! 😀
        (I work that way!!) 😀

      • You have kids old enough to fold their clothes. You wash the clothes, lay on their bed and it’s their responsibility to fold within a day. You have lots of work power around there, put them to work.

      • Hola dear Twin! I’m moving slow every morning! I still owe you the e-mail and the picture… I guess I’ll call you this week, it’s faster 🙂
        Big big big hug!
And the laundry almost all done except the big ball on the couch… I’ll work on it soon.

With 5 kids you must always have loads of clothes to wash. Yuck. Don’t worry about email. After you get back to your routine email me an update on love life. I am interested to hear. I’m freaking out, none of my jeans fit and I’m traveling next Sunday. When I had my heart problems I gained 40 pounds, once on medicine and cutting back on food lost very quick. Lyme is different, one week I’m normal next week I’ve gained 20 pounds. I have to much pain to shove myself in jeans that are to tight. That is on my list today. Also working on award announcement post, finish doctors paperwork and pull every pair of jeans out and try on. I keep jeans forever so I have about 50 pair. The other day I tried 6 pairs only one fit. Now they don’t make style. Drive me crazy.
I do remember life could be so much worse so I’ll survive.
Get to feeling better and have a great day.
        Don’t the flowers smell great?

      • Twin, get some leggings and wear them with the gorgeous mu-mus!! (was that the name??). Jeans are uncomfortable, even the elastic ones…
I’ll update you on EVERYTHING soon.
And I’m loving the flowers, they are in front of me now 🙂
Few days to go for your trip, you’ll get everything ready on time, you always do!! 🙂 ❤
        Big hug!

  3. I think that structure in the park is called a gazebo. Oh, and I am a HUGE Gaudi fan! Here’s a cool blog post to check out, when you have the time! http://tobedamit.com/2015/01/04/art-nouveau/

  5. You have to be a very strong person to get on a plane and leave Barcelona. My maternal great grandfather was from the Castile region of Spain and I have always wanted to go there to La Mancha to see what el ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha saw. Perhaps I’ll find a windmill to joust with.
