Mug shot Tuesday. My weekend was strange. I had planned to drown my sorrows in alcohol but the only alcohol I had was one beer on Friday. I spent Saturday and Sunday on the couch, in front of the TV… But I only turned it on once to watch the last minutes of a movie. I studied the driving rules. And I did some sewing. I ate quite a lot of junk food. And ice-cream. And I’m already regretting it, of course. So after I finish all the ice-cream, chocolate, chips, peanuts, pretzels and cookies I bought, I’ll go on a diet. And as soon as I lose a couple of pounds (4 couples to be exact), I’ll take the picture with my belly dancer suite. I didn’t forget about it. I also went to church.

A trophy mug today because I’m a winner!! I accepted another award. I couldn’t resist the hearts, they are so cute!! This one also is from Randstein at hyperionsturm.wordpress.com

Thank you Randstein!

These awards always come with rules, that’s the ugly part. But I love to break them.

1-Once nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you. I can tick this one.

2-Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too. Ticked.

3-Nominate 10 other bloggers who you feel are worthy of this award. Let them know they were nominated by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you. I can only tick part of this one.

4-Ensure these bloggers have less than 200 followers. I won’t be ticking this one.

5-Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make ten questions of your own for your nominees. Again, I partly tick this one

6-Lastly, COPY these rules in the post. Ticked!

This are the 10 questions I have to answer:

1-What was your motivation to start a blog?
Loneliness I guess. The need to talk to someone. The need to say exactly what I wanted to say (or shout).

2-What would be the most important takeaway your reader will receive from following your blog?
… No idea how important that is, but the reader always gets a dose of me and how I feel that day.

3-Of all your posts, which one is your favorite, and why?
All the funny ones and 216. Because I had more fun while I wrote them.

4-What is your best talent?
Do I have one?

5-What one thing would your recommend to other bloggers to improve their blog and hold your interest?
No need to improve, just keep it honest.

6-What is your favorite subject that you identify most often with when you choose to follow other bloggers?
Honesty. I like reading blogs from people who write from the heart… I can tell.

7-If you were to choose a person that influenced you the most in your life, who would it be?
Only one? Probably my grandfather Pedro. He was a bad husband, a not so great father but he was the best grandfather one could have… Plus, I was his favorite granddaughter.

8-In your formal education process, what was your favorite subject?
The break. And after that, geography and all the exact science subjects. I dreaded (still do) history, economics, psychology, politics and physical education.

9-What has been your greatest challenge in life?
Staying sane (many will disagree with this one… and me too).

10-What was your happiest moment?
One that’s still to come.

The winners (not nominees).

Since 7 and 1 are my favorite numbers, I’ll add them up, total of 8, so of the 10 bloggers I should choose, I will subtract 8 and I will choose only 2 that I’m sure will be more than pleased to get this prize.

Rob, weight2lose2013.wordpress.com, because you are a honest guy and write from your heart. And I know you love getting awards!!

Jamila, thisizapen.wordpress.com, because you are amazing and remind me of myself at your age. (With the difference that I could never write a book review as good as you do. Mine were always one (short) paragraph long).

The questions for you (I’ll use again the method above) 10 – 8 = 2

1- Which one was your happiest birthday and why?

2- Which one was the worst present you got and how did you hide your emotions in order not to hurt the person who gave it to you (tell who!)… And the part that interests me the most is, how much you laughed/complained about that bad present with your friends when you told them.

If you are interested in knowing the worst present I got:
Two toilet deodorizers for Christmas from the man’s aunt… They were wrapped in Christmas paper. So classy!
And I’m still laughing because I keep a picture of them to remind me that sometimes, I take good decisions…

  7. That was Great P! You always make an award even better with your own rules and answers to questions. I was smiling really big and then I got to the toilet freshener Christmas present. I suddenly realized how dull my life is. I never get cool presents like that. 🙂
