Monday. Sunny for now but it’s going to change in a few hours, it never fails. Yesterday while answering comments I found out I was given an award by Robert at robertmgoldstein.com.
This is the first time I see such an award and I feel really honored I was among the chosen ones.
You probably remember I said a few times before that I wasn’t accepting any more awards, but how could I resist this one? Blue butterflies!!
Thank you Robert!!

This award is for those who have gone through mental illness of any kind, abuse, trauma, and especially PTSD.

Here are the rules:

1-Thank the blogger that nominated you.

2-Nominate 5 – 10 bloggers to pass the award to

3-Post 5 questions for your nominees to answer (you may use the same as these below).

4-Inform your nominees and post a comment in their blog to let them know they’ve been nominated.

Robert decided to stay with the questions he was asked. These are the questions. And man they are hard!! You can read Robert’s post here.

1- In what ways do you feel that blogging can help people with psychological trauma or mental illness?

I think that anyone having a problem and reading that someone else is going through the same things, makes them feel less alone and able to see things that are not always easy to spot.
You read that someone else had the courage to do something and then you say: “If they could do it, I can do it too”.

2- How has blogging helped you with your healing, or your personal journey?

How?? I can say it helped immensely. I’m not sure I could have survived my less bright days without the support of my fellow bloggers.

3- What books, movies, or YouTube channels would you recommend to someone with a similar background to you?

I can’t recommend anything. I can only say that when I need an answer, I always read “The Little Prince”. And every time I read it, I find what I was looking was.

4- When did you start your blog and what inspired you?

In July 2012 while pregnant with my 5th child and stuck at home because I couldn’t walk. Every post I wrote was a chapter of a story that became a book (not published yet). Then I got very depressed and stopped writing until February 2014. A friend inspired me to write again. I felt alive so I started writing.

5- What types of blogs do you follow?
Many different types written in a honest way.

I’d like to give this award to everyone.
To all of you who lost someone and are surviving the loss. To all of you who had gone through hell and back and before you could say: “I’m living again” you are saying: “I can barely survive this hour”. To all of you who are sick. To all of you who are in pain. To all of who are struggling to be yourselves. To all of you who are struggling to get to the end of the month. And to all of you who I’m sure wake up some days and feel that you are not actually living but surviving.

We all deserve to live and love the way we want.
This is our life, we should be able to live it and not survive it.

  4. Very nice P! and congratulations! I think if the world stopped trying to suppress, control, and legislate love in courts and religious institutions, the world would become a less harmful and hateful place.
