Within us… Where do we need to look for it? Do we need to think, rationalize or look among our memories? Do we have to act on an impulse and do what our guts tell us? Maybe just follow our hearts? Or wait for an out of body experience that will terrify us to death?

In my experience, thinking too much is never good. My mind could take me to crazy places (if I’m really lucky) or just leave me in a state of desperation (most likely).
When I do what my guts say… Oh my… Most of the times I end up regretting my poor choices. Stupid gut, you are a lousy advisor.
But when I follow my heart, I’m happy. Even if that happiness is temporary, it’s just what I need at the time to go on.
Following my heart is following my dreams. I’m doing exactly what I want. I don’t need to listen to what my brain thinks because if I do, then I stop following my heart because I think that my ideas or feelings are insane or stupid.
It’s like when you do something that someone told you to do because they think is the right thing for you.
But, no one better than yourself knows what’s best for you.

It’s good to do what you want because if things don’t turn out alright, at least you tried and you can only blame yourself. Which is much better than regretting or blaming someone else.

I like that quote. So true and so sad. Never give up on your dreams. Chase them while you can. Tomorrow could be too late.

And if you wonder about the out of body experience… this is the kind of message you tend to get.
