Sunday. It’s quite dark today but not really cold. All the trees (4 in total) in my garden, lost their leaves. It doesn’t look sad at all because all around there are pines and they are always green. And the leafless trees make my living much brighter.

I want to apologize for not reading any of your blogs or replying to the comments yet. I feel kind of guilty doing that while my kids are here. So I’ll try to catch up later or tomorrow while they are at school.

A couple of days ago, I found an article about three compatibility factors for a successful marriage. Among all the crap I read on the subject, I have to admit that this one, in my opinion, was pretty accurate.
I’ll read it again and I’ll write about it this week.
I’m still trying to find out why all my previous relationships didn’t succeed. At one point I had to ask myself if the problem was me or if there was something else. I have to admit I have some issues but I believe that the main problem was always that we were not really compatible or that our points of view in the different matters were not the same.

All this reinforces my idea that I need someone like me. A best friend, a lover. Someone whose values are like mine. I don’t want anymore to get tired of someone… Or even worse, someone getting tired of me.

  3. I have also wondered why all my past relationships have not lasted. Sometimes, I think it was me (I do have manic depression which is tricky sometimes.) I do have issues that I unfortunately carry around with me. But, in the end, I think you are right; it is all a matter of compatibility. I am not to blame and the other party is not to blame. Sometimes people just change in different directions.

  4. You can’t really dwell on why past relationships didn’t succeed. It’s important not to blame yourself and look forward to new ones.

  5. I have heard it said that the one thing that attracts you to a person will become the one thing that annoys you the most. A catch-22 for sure, and honestly, I can say there is a lot of truth in that. For instance, you like a guy because he is passionate and caring, but you might come to hate that about him because he is passionate and caring toward a lot of other people and not just you. Granted, just my $0.02.

  7. I agree. Life is too short to stay in an unhappy marriage, or relationship. Its about living, finding the person you think is your soulmate, and who your most compatible with. Trial and error makes that happen eventually, we hope. XX
