Friday. The beautiful sunshine is gone and thankfully, it didn’t take my good mood with it. I would have liked if it took some of my problems though.
I have many things to do and I keep postponing some of them. Then of course, some more things add up and I still have all the old stuff pending. The load never gets lighter and then I feel even more overwhelmed.
Do you think that highly effective people sleep perfectly at night because they don’t have any pending subject? Or they also stay awake because they need to plan ahead the next day?
I just wonder why I don’t do what I have to do but when it comes to saying the things that I have to say, I mostly do it. I feel like by keeping the words inside, I burn my soul. Unsaid words make my blood boil and if I don’t let them out, it’s like I’m going to explode.
I wish that not doing the things I have to do had the same effect on me. Maybe that way I finish some things and feel like the weight on my shoulders is less.
Why is it easier for some people to do what they have to do and really hard to say what they have to say? Aren’t those words kept unsaid heavy on their shoulders?
And IT’S FRIDAY. I’M IN LOVE!! And I thought this song is perfect for today’s post. Enjoy this cover by Rajiv Dhall & TwentyForSeven of John Mayer’s song,
SAY WHAT YOU NEED TO SAY
(written by John Mayer)
Take out of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all your so called problems
Better put them in quotations
Say what you need to say (x8)
Walkin’ like a one man army
Fightin’ with the shadows in your head
Livin’ out the same old moment
Knowin’ youd be better off instead
If you could only
Say what you need to say (x8)
Have no fear for givin’ in
Have no fear for givin’ over
You better know that in the end
It’s better to say too much
Than to never to say what you need to say again
Even if your hands are shakin’
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closin’
Do it with a heart wide open
A wide heart
Say what you need to say (x12)

I think that words that need to be let out, must be let out. If they’re kept in, they fester and can consume us.

I’m a pretty efficient person and for sure stay awake some nights thinking about what I have to do the next day, especially if there’s a lot to do. I’m also very outspoken and it gets me in trouble a lot. In New York people are used to that but not so much here in L.A.

I’m basically the same as you that I can’t keep the words inside. If I don’t let them out, I can’t sleep π¦ .

π Maybe that’s one of the reasons I’m not sleeping either π

Getting things done… if I could only figure out how to do that. More hours in a day? And speak your mind…because those who matter won’t mind, and those who mind, don’t matter. π
