Monday. I can’t believe next week school starts again. I’m not happy about it. Things didn’t go the way I wished and that makes me a bit sad.
Time flies when you are having a good time and time flies when you wish you could stop it. All the other times, when you really need time to pass soon, time just goes slow and makes you feel like a never-ending agony.

I’m watching with one eye “The Age of Innocence”. I have seen this movie before and probably I even read the book but I can’t remember a thing. Every now and then I pay attention to it. The male character (Daniel Day-Lewis) is married or about to marry a woman (Winona Rider) but he’s deeply and madly in love with her cousin (Michelle Pfeiffer). Since I’m not really following the story, I’m only cringing at why he’s not with the woman he loves. I just heard him saying to Michelle Pfeiffer: “You gave me my first glimpse of a real life and then told me to carry on with the false one. No one can endure that”. My stomach turned and now I really want to vomit because he was thinking something like: “She (Winona Rider) may die and then I could be free”. Just f#$king leave her!!
The book was written almost 100 years ago, but come on guy! Grow some balls and follow your heart. You are hurting three persons this way. You are hurting yourself and both women. You are miserable because you are with the woman you don’t love, your wife doesn’t deserve that and the other woman truly loves you but respects your (dumb) decision. Ugh.

I want to see a happy ending here but I’m not sure it’ll come so I’m trying to decide if I should watch the end of the movie or not.

It just ended and I don’t think it was the way I wanted to.
This is so sad!

Many people waste their lives with the wrong person.
Only a few people are lucky to find “the one”. And even less people are brave enough to follow their hearts and be with them. Why?

Don’t be the king/queen of a cage. Take a risk, follow your heart. What’s the worst that could happen?
You already wasted so much. Now it’s the time to win, or at least, to try.
Don’t be like those who are so afraid to lose that don’t even try because trust me, you are missing out and losing anyway, only that’s a little every day and you can barely notice it right now. But one day, you may look in the mirror and realize that your life is gone and what you could have done or the chances that you could have taken are gone and they’ll never come back and whatever you can do now, you don’t know if you can do it tomorrow and if you could, you probably won’t have the means or the energy to do it.

It’s now or never. This moment, it’s a once in a lifetime moment. Don’t waste it.

  1. That’s it in a nutshell with one perilous caveat. Sometimes we THINK it’s now or never, but being so spontaneous, or impetuous, can create more heartache. Nothing is as it seems with matters of the heart. That’s the lesson that I’ve learned.

  3. I think people fear being alone and that’s why they settle. I found “the one” ten years ago and I couldn’t be happier.

    • But being alone is far better than being with the wrong person! 🙂

      • You are 100% right about that. My previous relationship was a 3 year nightmare. After that I just dated and had fun. I swore I’d find someone I love rather than someone I need. I’m glad I found him. I believe not looking for “the one” is the way you will find them.

      • 🙂 I don’t mind how, I just want to find them 😀
Settling for comfort, money, afraid of being alone or whatever, it’s BAD!
