Tuesday. Many years ago I had a boyfriend, Damian. He was nice and sweet but getting him to talk or show emotions, was a chore.
I could tell when he was mad, sad or disappointed but I could never get anything from him so we didn’t talk or solve the problems and that made things quite difficult.
It was quite very frustrating.

I remember that a few months after we broke up, his mother came to my house to wish me and my family happy holidays and she asked me how I was doing. I said I was ok and that I kind of knew that we were not going to last but we still tried to make it work.
She said to me: “I can imagine how hard it was for you because he’s like his father. They never talk!”
So for me it wasn’t a surprise when a couple of years later I called Damian to wish him a happy birthday and he told me that his mother had left his father.
I’m not sure if that was the main reason but lack of communication, is a big deal.

Some men don’t talk, or should I say, only a few men talk?
I mean, when they are in a relationship because when they are only friends, they tend to confide in someone. Or at least, that’s my experience.
Every time I get mad at one man, I ask another man: “Why you men do that?!”
Because some things are hard to believe for me and I need an explanation. It doesn’t work when I ask a female friend because mostly, they are as puzzled as me.

One of this days I’ll write a list of the things men do that we women, can’t understand. Maybe I finally get some answers… Like for example:

Men who live by themselves, pee standing or sit down? I truly need to know that one because you see, some of us women complain about having to clean pee from everywhere because some men hold their pee for who knows how long and then when they go pee and they do it standing, the pee goes like a projectile and rarely hits the target (unless the target is the entire bathroom).
So, if a man lives alone and has to clean his own bathroom, does he sit down to pee?
