Saturday. It didn’t rain this afternoon so we decided to finish the fire pit. While we were doing that we thought it was a good idea to remove some weeds and clean all the dry plants around the pond. And since we were working in the backyard, we continued with the chainsaw and trimmed a magnolia bush so it can grow better and look like a tree.
We were busy for about 4 hours and managed to finish just before dinner.
There wasn’t enough light so I didn’t take a picture of the finished project.

After we ate, we decided to burn some logs and the many boxes that I had in the basement. We said to the kids that we were going to roast some marshmallows so they helped us break the boxes and feed the fire.
That’s the pit is action.

I think we were over two hours burning stuff and then it started to rain.
That’s how pretty it looked when it was almost dead.

Now I better go stretch my back because I’m starting to feel the pain.
