Friday. Not feeling really better.
Yesterday, I went downstairs to see if Santa had brought me what I asked for. No, he didn’t. I didn’t find a boyfriend under the tree, or near the tree, or behind the tree or anywhere else.
I already had in my mind a nice guy all wrapped up and with a golden ribbon on top.
Next time, if I didn’t get one before next Christmas, I’ll write the letter in German. For now, I’ll try to believe I didn’t get my boyfriend because of the barrier language.

My kids were all happy with their presents. I was happy too, I got one thing that I wanted, not as much as the boyfriend, but ok, I’ll enjoy the set of candle holders that I bought for myself and carefully wrapped and put my name on it. Once I forgot to buy something for me and my kids decided it was because I wasn’t a nice person that year. Try to convince them differently.

I was a bit shocked/surprised. The man got me a Christmas present for the first time.
When I opened the gift I looked at him with a “WTF? Are you freaking kidding me?” face.

He said: “This is to THANK YOU (Merci), from my HEART, for all the other Christmases when I didn’t help or give you anything”.
But come on!! Chocolates in a heart shaped box??? And then he said he bought them with his girlfriend. I don’t know who’s sicker now.

We had lunch, no leftovers so I’ll have to cook today.
This is my Christmas table. I’m recycling jars and putting candles in them. I really love how they look.

I have to bake the cake for Saint Stephen (Stefano) as I promised. So not looking forward to it… 2 days and 4 extra pounds. And this is nothing. I’ll be in Spain for New Year. My cousin’s mother in law asked about 3 weeks ago what did I eat. I bet she’s already cooking. I love Spanish food.

I asked the man to bring a cable to connect the computer to the TV so we could watch a movie. He said OK. Then he wrote a message telling me that it wouldn’t work because my TV wasn’t digital, so he was going to borrow a projector.
So we watched 3 movies on the wall (anything to avoid dialogue).

That’s ‘Jingle All the Way” with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Then we watched a Disney movie called something like Good Luck Charlie. And the last one called “Arthur Christmas” which I really loved.
I felt the “going to the movies” effect. The last time I went to a cinema was in 2005.

One of the highest points of yesterday was when I got an e-mail from one of my readers saying:

“I’m wearing pink ones!” with a picture attached. I replied “I’m wearing pink ones too”, also with a picture.
I hope to see many e-mails and posts about Red Panties in New Year!

    • Pink for Christmas and red or yellow for New Year.
If you have a red bra, go for yellow panties and red bra πŸ˜€

      The chocolates are nice… πŸ™‚
The jars are safer than the little candle holders I have, those I can only use when the kids sleep (and then I really don’t feel like lighting candles anymore, only sleeping :)).

      • But where does the fluid candle stuff go? Is it okay if its still there when you add a new candle? Im so “stupid” when it comes to stuff like this! But I love how it look, so I would love to do it if I know its safe πŸ™‚

      • You have to be in the room near the candles or it won’t be safe. Kids love to blow them or burn things (at least, some kids, like my oldest son.. πŸ™‚ ).
Those little candles last 4 hours and use all the wax in the aluminum container. You just light them in the same container where they are and that’s it. I place the candle + container in the jar. I’ll mail a picture to show you how it looks once the wax is consumed completely πŸ™‚
