Monday. And if that was’t enough, it’s just past 5.30am. I feel like hitting my head against the wall. I know I fell asleep very early, but waking at 4.30am is outrageous. I can’t fall back asleep so I’m trying to be productive.
My weekend was ok. The house looks great, included backyard and front yard. My mom can’t rest if there are pending things. She claims that her brain suffers with the idea that there are things to do. I explained her about 4 million times that I don’t give a crap if I don’t do something right away. It’ll get done when I feel like doing it. The great thing about it is that when she leaves, mostly everything will be done so I could relax for a few days. At least, that’s the plan.

I totally forgot that yesterday was “Women’s Day”. I didn’t know it was already March 8th. In my head, it was probably the 5th. The “I don’t know which day is today” is ruling my life lately. So for all the women, and one day later, have a nice day, full of love and happiness.
If you happen to be in Italy on March 8th, you’ll get these flowers from the acacia tree (known commonly as thorntree, whistling thorn, or wattle).

And I’m sure my dad didn’t know it was March 8th either because we didn’t get any flowers this year!

Spring is in the air. The birds are already singing. I didn’t see many flowers yet but I’m sure they are about to bloom. My garden has many rhododendrons forming an L and separating the garden from the pond area. Since I moved here, I can see the buds all around and I’m waiting to see the flowers. I have no idea which color they will be but I know for sure that they’ll make me smile every time I see them.
All my neighbors have been busy gardening. They are all retired and I’m not sure if they do it because the garden takes a lot of time or if it’s because there is not much more to do (I think I go for option two).
My gardening experience is limited to mowing the lawn three times and a flower pot back in Cowshitland. I wish I could say I have Green Thumbs. That’s not the case at all. I manage to drown a cactus, and that’s pretty amazing because I rarely water my plants. I made them resistant to harsh conditions (read: living with me).
